Me he encontrado esta curiosa obra de Philip Toledano, un fotografo que ha trabajado para el Times y otros medios pero que tambien tiene un intresante trabajo personal cargado de significado.

Ian Hundley es un artista que vive y trabaja en Nueva York. Nacido en Toronto, Canadá se trasladó a South Riverl a los tres años. Ian se ha interesado por diferentes artes desde niño; dibujo, pintura, costura y teatro. Para completar su formación ingresó al George Brown College for Graphic Design. Al terminar sus estudios fué con su hermano Marc a Inglaterra donde trabajaron juntos en fotografía de moda para Vogue. De regreso a Nueva York Ian ha trabajado en varios campos entre ellos la costura que la ha permitido realizar unos asombrosos mapas cosidos.

Ian Hundley is an artist living and working in New York City. Born in Toronto, Ian moved to South River at the ripe old age of three. Ian was interested many different arts as a child; drawing, painting, sewing to theatre. On completing high school at Almaguin Highlands he attended George Brown College for Graphic Design. After college, Ian and his brother Marc went to England where they met a fashion photographer who then photographed them for Vogue Magazine. Modeling led Ian and Marc to New York were Ian worked in many areas the fashion industry including modeling, set design, Public Relations for fashion designers, production for magazines and sewing for designers.

Y bien, dice el adagio que una larga marcha inicia con el primer paso, cada semana busco lugares, artistas, fotos, videos en fin cualquier material que exprese la contemporaneidad en sus diversos matices.
Las bitácoras son un fenómeno que se ha acresentado después del 11 de septiembre, los "bloggers" quieren dar su propia versión de las cosas, los hechos y las ideas; en mi caso personal tuve en una época una página web y creo que aún anda por ahí, pero he encontrado en la bitácora una forma sencilla, rápida y directa de compartir mi gusto por el arte contemporáneo, la tecnología y en fin todo aquello a lo que estamos avocados en la posmodernidad.
Esto es una cadena o una espiral, para ser mas hegeliano, inicialmente ensayé con algunas de mis imágenes, luego al navegar encontré gran cantidad de sitios con información interesante sobre la cual valía la pena hacer reseñas, también nuevas utilidades como Flickr, el chat, el reloj, los enlaces, el RSS, las etiquetas que fuí incorporando poco a poco.
Imponerse una disciplina es uno de los retos mas importantes, internet es una babel, un laberinto que tiene multitud de posibilidades para recorrerlo y sobretodo para enlazarlo, diariamente surgen miles de nuevas bitácoras sobre los mas diversos temas, a veces me pregunto, como seguramente se lo ha preguntado usted ¿hay lectores para tanto blog? no tengo cifras pero parece que si, de hecho leemos o vemos muchas bitácoras y no dejamos un testimonio escrito o un comentario ( que es una de las utilidades de este tipo de comunicación) pero las huellas quedan en los contadores y en los servidores.
No puedo negar que me agrada llegar a este primer nivel al completar 100 reseñas o "post", uno de los principios de este esfuerzo es la distribución, cualidad que permite tomar la información, procesarla y reenviarla a la "blogosfera" para que a su vez siga siendo procesada, resemantizada y apropiada; no podemos predecir a qué nos llevará este proceso, por ahora solo podemos afirmar que el poder ha empezado a cambiar de centro, que cada navagante abre una puerta donde tiene acceso a un entorno comunicacional que no le permite quedar indiferente..."nadie navega en la misma red dos veces". Venga! a los otros 100.

A long trip begins with the first step, each week I search places, artists, videos... material that express the contemporary in his diversity.
Blogs are increased since 11-S, bloggers like to give his own version about things, ideas and events; in my personal case I had a web page and still now it exists in somewhere, but I found in a blog an easy, fast and direct way to share my preferences for contemporary art, technology and posmodern life.
This is a chain or an spiral, to be more hegelian, in the begining I try with some of my images, then I found a lot of value information to share, new utillities like flickr, chat, time,links, RSS, tags that I put step by step.
Discipline is the main challenge, Internet is like a babel tower, like a labyrinth that have lot of possibilities to navigate and of course to link it, daily thousands of new blogs born to talk about several topics, and I ask like you, have readers to those blogs? I don´t have stadistics but maybe yes, we read and see a lot of blogs and we don´t write a commentary but the counters and servers have the fingerprints .
I am proud to have this first level, write 100 post. One of the principles of the net is distribution, quality that allow to take the information, process it and resend it to the "blogosphere" in order to be processed, resemantized and appropiated again; we cann´t predict the end of this process, only affirm that the power has change of certer, each surfer open a door where he has access to communicational enviroment that not allow to be indifferent..."nobody surf in the same net twice".
