En la ciudad de Cali hay una escultura de un gato realizada por Hernando Tejada; un colectivo de artistas (Alcántara, Astudilo, Gordillo, Díaz, Pombo, Ospina entre otros) ha realizado una acción paralela al proponer posibles novias al gato de Tejada, las hay de todos los estilos y conceptos. Una buena iniciativa donde el público puede interactuar con el arte.

In the city of Cali there is a sculpture of a cat made by Hernando Tejada; a group of artists (Alcántara, Astudilo, Gordillo, Diaz, Pombo, Ospina among others) has conducted a parallel action when proposing possible fiancèes to the Tejada´s cat , there are of all the styles and concepts. A good initiative where the public can interact with the art.

Hace unos meses reseñé trabajos hechos con lápices, me encuentro ahora con el trabajo de Jennifer Maestre, quien realiza en lápiz un trabajo biomórfico muy sugerente, además en otros de sus trabajos emplea puntillas y casquillos. Para qué mas sirven los lápices? han dejado de ser el medio para convertirse en el material de trabajo.

Some months ago I post about works made with pencils, I find now the Jennifer Maestre work, she uses pencils to made sugestive biomorphical shapes, also in other works she uses nails and beads. For what more use the pencils? now ist not only the medium, also it is the material of work.

Acaba de terminar la feria de arte de Bogotá ArtBO, una iniciativa de la Cámara de Comercio de Bogotá y de su gestora Andrea Walker. Esta versión ya está mas consolidada y se ha convertido en un espacio importante de encuentro, venta y análisis del arte.
No se hace arte para vender, o mejor dicho, los contenidos de una obra de arte van mas allá de su simple valor monetario y en muchos casos la venta afecta la capacidad de acción de un artista; es indispensable hacer una gran diferencia entre valor y precio para que las prácticas artísticas no caigan en el show bussines o sean tratadas exclusivamente como mercancías en esta era de la globalización.
La sala didáctica sobre arte colombiano y la sala artecámara efatizan los significados y el apoyo que se quiere dar desde este evento a la consolidación de los procesos visuales en nuestro país.

The art fair of Bogota ArtBO is finished, an initiative of the Chamber of Commerce of Bogota and its manager Andrea Walker. This version already is but consolidated and it has become an important space of encounter, sale and analysis of the art. Art is not made to sell, or rather, the contents of an art work go beyond their simple monetary value and in many cases the sale affects the capacity of action of an artist; he is indispensable to make a great difference between value and price so that the artistic practices do not fall in the show bussines or are treated exclusively like merchandise in this was globalización age.
The didactic room of Colombian art and the room artecámara highligth the meaning and the support that is wanted to give from this event to the consolidation of the visual processes in our country.
