
Las texturas naturales, literalmente, son parte del trabajo de Bryan Nash; su taller está cerca de un viejo molino en donde se nutre de bellos especímenes naturales para sus grabados.
El tronco cortado se entinta con un rodillo y luego se coloca el papel washi hecho a mano para imprimir. Presionando poco a poco con el dedo se capta la textura de la madera sobre le papel. Esta técnica permite realmente traspasar cada anillo de crecimiento y despositar su marca en el papel.

Ink is rolled out and a piece of handcrafted washi paper is placed over the print block. Pressing little by little with his fingertips, Bryan imprints the texture of the wood on the surface of the paper. I love the idea that Bryan had to literally touch each tree-growth-ring in order to deposit its mark.
