La madera vieja tiene su poética, sus rastros de pintura, su superficie gastada. los tornillos y clavos que hieren su entrañas, los golpes y rasguños.
Todas estas características las ha sabido aprovechar muy bien Ron van der Ende, quien ha recolectado y ensamblado multitud de piezas de madera vieja para crear capsulas, naves, estanterías , mesas, cajas registradoras; todo en bajo relieve.
